We see some of the greatest diamonds displayed in popular cinema yet often disregard the fact that some of those pieces have (or are inspired by) some of the richest history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TITANIC<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James Cameron\u2019s <em>Titanic <\/em>features a replica of one of the world\u2019s famous jewels, the <em>Hope Diamond. <\/em>In the film\u2019s story, the diamond was known as the \u201cHeart of the Ocean\u201d previously owned by Louis XVI, the diamond itself is inspired by the rich history of the Hope Diamond. The stone is said to have been stolen from India centuries ago and has since been passed on for generations. This piece is one of the most expensive pieces of jewellery ever commissioned for a movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img data-dominant-color=\"4c392b\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #4c392b;\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/timcodiamonds.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Famous-Diamonds-in-Hollywood3.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-789 not-transparent\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>MOULIN ROUGE<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Baz Luhrmann\u2019s hit film <em>Moulin Rouge, <\/em>Nicole Kidman\u2019s character, Satine, wears a beautiful custom-made necklace designed by Stefano Canturi. It was inspired by the extravagant designs of the late 1800s, including the stylings of Louis XVI. The necklace was hand-crafted in 18K gold and studded with 1,308 diamonds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img data-dominant-color=\"403830\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/timcodiamonds.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Famous-Diamonds-in-Hollywood2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-788 not-transparent\" style=\"--dominant-color: #403830; width:1094px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>OCEAN\u2019S 8<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Worn by Anne Hathaway in the 2008 film, <em>Ocean\u2019s 8<\/em>, the film featured a replica of the Touissant Cartier necklace, crafted in 1931 for Maharaja of Nawanagar by Jacques Cartier himself.
